Receiving Clerk - Toa Payoh

Job Purpose

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receiving of goods as required, to achieve the lowest cost solution at least risk and in adherence with Management and Company procedures.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. 1 Collates purchase requisitions to order office supplies
  2. 2 Receives ordered products and merchandise from the different suppliers
  3. 3 Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to the restaurant on time
  4. 4 Review inventories and prepare purchase orders for required materials, goods and supplies
  5. 5 Coordinates for the approval of purchase orders and invoice payments
  6. 6 Physically check on the quantity and quality of each product received, comparing the quantity and specification of the product
  7. 7 Stores products properly in the allocated places
  8. 8 Administers a comprehensive inventory count on all products once every month and a full count at the end of each fiscal year
  9. 9 Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system
  10. 10 Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports
  11. 11 Source, select and negotiate for the best shipment package prior to collection of goods
  12. 12 Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Communication & Working Relationships
  1. 1 Interacts with different departments to ensure accurate requisitions
  2. 2 Follow-up with suppliers to guarantee prompt delivery of products
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. 1 Diploma or high school certificate
  2. 2 Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in receiving or storekeeping roles
  3. 3 Understand supply chain management
  4. 4 Knowledgeable of the rules governing public sector procurement
  5. 5 Excellent communication and customer service skills
  6. 6 Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  7. 7 Trustworthy
  8. 8 Excellent Organization skills
  9. 9 Ability to work in a team environment
  10. 10 Time management
