Job Summary

We are seeking a Cook 1 to support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and cooking meals according to menu and company standards, ensuring consistent quality, maintaining hygiene, and assisting with stock management.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes following menu specifications and company standards to ensure quality and consistency
Support lunch, takeaway, and dinner service by timely executing food preparation and cooking tasks
Ensure food taste, portion size, and presentation remain consistent for every dish served
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation to support efficient kitchen operations
Follow recipes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and instructions from senior chefs to meet quality standards
Assist with stock rotation and preparation planning to minimise food wastage
Adhere to hygiene and food safety standards at all times to ensure a safe kitchen environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Relevant kitchen experience preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude, discipline, and eagerness to learn
Team player with a collaborative and constructive mindset
