Junior Accountant (Maternity Cover)

About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Junior Accountant (Maternity Cover) to join our Accounting team. You will handle day-to-day accounting operations of our regional business, and ensure accurate financial records. This role will support month-end closing, reconciliations, and basic reporting activities independently.
Key Responsibilities- Handle daily accounting transactions, including AP, AR, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on a timely basis.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve basic discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing activities and preparation of schedules.
- Assist in preparing basic financial and management reports.
- Support internal and external audit documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records.
- Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years' experience working in accounting, with familiarity with accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication skills and effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with regional stakeholders across APAC office.
- Demonstrates responsibility and sense of ownership, is detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
