QA Field Technician
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-site troubleshooting and resolve product- or quality-related issues.
- Conduct inspections, measurements, and validation activities at customer sites.
- Use measurement equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and other basic metrology tools.
- Support installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance when required.
- Prepare detailed service, inspection, and quality reports for internal and customer review.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Work in a Cleanroom Environment and ensure full compliance with cleanroom protocols, gowning requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Understand customer specifications and train the QC team on acceptance criteria.
- Support quality dispositions on the production line and provide guidance to operators or inspectors.
- Communicate field findings, quality trends, and customer feedback to internal engineering and quality teams for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality systems, and customer quality standards.
- Participate in customer audits, site visits, and technical discussions when required.
Requirements
Education & Experience- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Quality Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in field service, quality control, or quality engineering (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Technical Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and ability to interpret them.
- Good understanding of measurement equipment, including micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.
- Familiarity with quality tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, CAPA) is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in computer usage, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to customer locations when required.
