The Operations/Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing export control, procurement coordination, warehouse management, and logistics operations to support the company’s Sales and Service activities.

Reporting into Corporate, this role ensures compliant, efficient, and well-controlled movement of goods, accurate procurement execution, and effective warehouse operations, while enabling Business Divisions to meet customer delivery, installation, and service commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. PSI Planning & Inventory Optimization (Primary Focus)

Drive alignment across Production (supply), Sales demand, and Inventory levels to ensure:

  • Optimal stock availability for sales and service operations
  • Minimization of excess, aging, and obsolete inventory
  • Monitor and manage: Inventory turnover, stock aging, and replenishment cycles
  • Demand vs supply gaps and mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with Sales and Service teams on: Forecast planning and demand visibility
  • Allocation and prioritization of critical equipment and spare parts
  • Establish PSI dashboards and KPIs to support data-driven decision making
  • Ensure alignment of PSI priorities across stakeholders
  • Drive process standardization, RACI clarity, and operational discipline
  • Identify gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  1. Logistics Planning & Operations (Core Function)

Lead end-to-end logistics operations covering:

  • Inbound shipments (imports, supplier deliveries) Outbound deliveries (sales installations, service parts dispatch)
  • Ensure: Timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery execution
  • Prioritization of urgent service requirements
  • Manage logistics partners (freight forwarders, couriers) to meet SLA expectations
  • Optimize logistics planning to support installation schedules and service uptime
  • Ensure alignment of PSI priorities across stakeholders
  • Drive process standardization, RACI clarity, and operational discipline
  • Identify gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  1. Warehouse & Inventory Control
  • Oversee warehouse operations including: Receiving, storage, issuance, and tracking of equipment and spare parts
  • High inventory accuracy and traceability (especially for serialized/regulated items)
  • Proper handling of controlled and high-value medical equipment
  • Lead: Inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency and stock visibility
  1. Procurement Coordination (Core function)
  • Coordinate procurement activities aligned with PSI and operational needs: Purchase order processing, tracking, and supplier follow-ups
  • Ensure: Timely procurement to prevent stock shortages
  • Compliance with approval matrix and internal controls
  • Work closely with Finance and Business Units to resolve supply and delivery issues
  1. Export/Import & Trade Compliance (Supporting Core)
  • Ensure full compliance with: Export control regulations
  • Local customs and import/export requirements
  • Canon Group policies
  • Oversee: Proper classification, documentation, and shipment clearance
  • Handling of regulated and controlled items
  • Act as key contact for audits and regulatory matters related to logistics and trade compliance
Qualification and Job Specification required / desired
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar capacity
  • Proven experience in: PSI / inventory planning and demand-supply coordination
  • Logistics operations and warehouse management
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) is advantageous
  • Strong expertise across operations function and customer success roles.
