Delivery Driver (Class 3)

Job Summary:

Delivery Driver responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers or designated locations and ensuring timely deliveries and providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a delivery vehicle (e.g., van, truck, car) in a safe and responsible manner.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving and follow company policies and procedures for vehicle operation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Plan the most efficient route to reach destinations on time and optimize delivery schedules.
• Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securement of items.
• Deliver goods to customers or specified locations according to delivery schedules.
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details, such as delivery times and locations.
• Provide accurate and timely updates on delivery status and any delays encountered during the delivery process.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading goods as needed.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns courteously and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, receipts, and signatures.
• Collect payments from customers as required and issue receipts for cash transactions.
• Complete delivery paperwork and reports accurately and submit them to the appropriate personnel.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid class 3 driving license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes in Singapore.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (20kgs to 30 kgs) and perform physical tasks associated with delivery duties.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
