We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure the company's adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines as stipulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other relevant bodies.
This role is critical in maintaining our insurance license, mitigating regulatory risk, and upholding a culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Governance- Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with MAS Notices, Guidelines, and Circulars (e.g., MAS 126, 302, 504).
- Develop and maintain compliance policies and frameworks aligned with local regulatory requirements.
- Advise management and business units on regulatory developments and impact assessments.
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions of regulatory filings (e.g., Form 1A, 2A, AML/CFT returns).
- Coordinate with MAS on inspections, thematic reviews, and regulatory queries.
- Maintain up-to-date records for compliance audits and inspections.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and regular reviews of internal controls.
- Lead or support risk-based compliance monitoring and testing programs.
- Escalate material compliance breaches or issues to senior management and regulators.
- Conduct regular training sessions on regulatory and compliance topics (e.g., AML/CFT, conduct risk).
- Promote compliance culture across departments and senior management.
- Act as AML Compliance Officer (if applicable) or support the MLRO in AML/CFT compliance.
- Oversee implementation of customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and suspicious transaction reporting processes.
- Liaise with internal audit, risk, legal, and business teams to align compliance standards.
- Partner with regional or global compliance teams for consistent implementation of group standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
- At least 5 years of regulatory compliance experience in the insurance industry or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulations (e.g., Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act, AML Notices).
- Experience interacting with MAS, including regulatory inspections or remediation.
- ACAMS, ICA, or similar certification is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High integrity and ability to work independently.
