Bukit Merah - Senior Software Engineer (Mobile Developer)

We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer (Mobile Developer) to join our fast-growing team. You will take ownership of the development of our mobile application and frontend ecosystem, helping to build intuitive, performant, and scalable user expereinces for a global audience.

As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in shaping the product technology stack, and engineering culture.

1. Mobile App & Frontend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain our mobile application (IOS and Android) using React Native
• Collaborate on the development of our frontend ecosystem, including web app and website using React.
• Ensure application are scalable, performant, and reliable for a global user base.
• Lead implementation of UI/UX designs with a strong focus on usabilitiy,responsiveness and accessibility.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from technical design to deployment and maintenance.

1. Quality Assurance & Code Excellence

• Champion best coding practices, maintain clean and maintainable code.
• Implement automated testing (unit,integration,end-to-end) and embrace test-driven development (TDD) where possible.
• Perform thorough debugging, profiling, and performancne optimisation.
• Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities or bottlenecks.

1. Collaboration & Agile Development

• Communicate technical ideas effectively across teams and non technical stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews,sprint planning,retrospectives and standups.

1. Innovation & Continuous Learning

• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development trends,frameworks and tools.
• Advocate for continuous improvement in code,architecture and team processes.

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on mobile application development(React Native).
• Solid understanding of frontend development principles (HTML,CSS,JavaScript/TypeScript,responsive design).
• Proven track record of building and shipping mobile application with high-quality UI/UX.
• Experience integrating APIs, SDKs, and third-party services.
• Experience with writing unit tests and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving,debugging and performance optimisation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environement.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working with blackchain/web3 technolgies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS,GCP) or backend development.
• Familiarity with analytics,user tracking or mobile monetization strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and moden development tools.
