Ocean or Sea Freight Executive (Import/ Export) | 5 Days/ West or Central

About the role

We are seeking a talented Sea Freight Executive (Import/ Export) to join our dynamic team in the West Region. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our import and export operations, leveraging your expertise in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.

• Manage all aspects of sea freight import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination
• Handle full order process for overseas customers (quotation, order confirmation, delivery coordination)
• Prepare and check shipping documents (e.g. B/L, manifests, pre-alerts)
• Arrange LTL and FTL trucking for shipments
• Update shipment information in system (e.g. CargoWise)
• Liaise with shipping lines, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient freight delivery
• Prepare and submit trade documents (permits, invoices, packing lists, certificates, etc.)
• Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to clients
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate freight quotations and support customer enquiries
• Maintain accurate records and data management systems
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, transporters, trucking teams, and overseas agents
• Ensure all charges are billed and collected properly and prepare payment vouchers and check supplier costs
• Support month-end closing and reports and close shipment files and keep proper records
• Perform any other duties given by supervisor

• Experience in sea freight forwarding or logistics operations preferred
• Knowledge of import/export documents and customs procedures
• Experience using CargoWise system or similar logistics systems is a plus
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to work with customers, carriers, warehouses, and overseas agents
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
• Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team
• Willing to handle operational issues and shipment challenges when needed
