Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Product Development – ASEAN to lead and coordinate regional product development initiatives across ASEAN, Australia/New Zealand, Taiwan and selected APAC markets.
This role focuses on managing and coordinating product development projects for connectivity solutions (cables & connectors for power, signal and data), working closely with APAC and global R&D teams.
This is a strategic technical leadership role responsible for driving high-quality, cost-effective and timely product implementation while aligning with global product clusters and innovation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
- Lead and guide APAC development teams
- Manage development projects via stage-gate process (TDS, ISIR, product release)
- Ensure quality, cost and timeline targets are achieved
- Coordinate with product management, procurement, quality and suppliers
- Drive demo kits, lab expansion and technical capability growth in Singapore
- Contribute to product strategy, innovation and patent discussions
- Manage development budgets and resources
- Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering
- 10–15 years’ experience leading technical product teams
- Strong background in connectivity technology (cables & connectors)
- Experience in series development & supplier coordination
- Knowledge of cable testing & approval processes
- Fluent in English and Mandarin advantageous due to Chinese market requirements
