Primary Role:

The Senior Manager, Finance plays a key role in overseeing the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily financial operations of the hotel, including timely month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Review and process weekly casual labour payments, staff expense claims, and other urgent ad-hoc disbursements.
  • Maintain and nurture effective relationships with the hotel owner, corporate office, and relevant government authorities.
  • Manage and update the hotel’s fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures, including machine float and other cash-related operational matters.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly variance analysis, as well as the preparation of ad hoc financial reports.
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller and supervise the Finance Executive, while working closely with the Finance Shared Services team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a hotel finance environment.
  • Proficient in hotel industry financial workflows, with strong knowledge of tax regulations, legal compliance, and audit procedures.
  • Familiar with financial systems such as Opera, Sun System, TM1, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility in handling confidential information.
