Senior Manager, Finance

Primary Role:
The Senior Manager, Finance plays a key role in overseeing the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily financial operations of the hotel, including timely month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Review and process weekly casual labour payments, staff expense claims, and other urgent ad-hoc disbursements.
- Maintain and nurture effective relationships with the hotel owner, corporate office, and relevant government authorities.
- Manage and update the hotel’s fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Monitor cash handling procedures, including machine float and other cash-related operational matters.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly variance analysis, as well as the preparation of ad hoc financial reports.
- Provide support to the Financial Controller and supervise the Finance Executive, while working closely with the Finance Shared Services team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a hotel finance environment.
- Proficient in hotel industry financial workflows, with strong knowledge of tax regulations, legal compliance, and audit procedures.
- Familiar with financial systems such as Opera, Sun System, TM1, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility in handling confidential information.
