[ref. a72899201] Resident Engineer/Project Engineer - Bukit Merah

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of technical supervisors on-site to ensure that all works comply fully with regulations and client’s requirements.
• Report to C&S QP and collaborate closely with regulatory authorities and contractors to provide leadership, supervision, and ensure timely project completion.
• Implement and maintain the site supervision quality and safety assurance system.
• Supervise structural and geotechnical works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and identifying non-conformities in the contractor's on-site work.
• Interpret and apply drawings and contract documents in daily site work.
• Review and approve method statements, drawings (including authority submissions and shop drawings), and other project-related documentation.
• Conduct regular site checks on contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations per MOM requirements.
• Attend various meetings such as site progress, technical, client-consultant, variation, and coordination meetings to facilitate effective project execution.
• Ensure proper documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, and as-built submissions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution - PEB/BCA (required for registration with IES/ACES).
• Open to candidates with no prior Resident Engineer experience, but at least 2 years of experience in project/site management in a contractor firm, ideally with exposure to precast or high-rise building projects.
• Strong interest in obtaining IES/ACES accreditation to be a qualified Resident Engineer— SJ will assist with the registration process for shortlisted candidates who are qualified.
• Precast experience is highly preferred as it's critical for managing large scale high rise building projects.
• Familiarity with structural and ERSS(earth retaining stabilizing structure), and an ability to interpret engineering drawings and contract documents.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on-site.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the project.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
