About the role
We are looking for an experienced Lead /Senior Consultant (AI Security) to champion the organization's efforts in addressing AI-related cybersecurity challenges. As the primary subject matter expert on AI Security, you will represent the company in Whole-of-Government (WoG) forums, standards committees, and international platforms.You will lead a team of professionals in developing secure AI systems and advising key stakeholders on mitigating AI-related risks.
What you'll be doing- Technical Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a technical team to assess AI models, algorithms, and infrastructure for vulnerabilities.
- Develop methodologies to evaluate AI security risks and implement robust security architectures (e.g., model isolation, access controls).
- Drive implementation of secure AI development practices and improve model resilience against adversarial threats.
- Policy & Advisory:
- Develop technical policies and advisories for secure AI adoption across Government Agencies, Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Owners, and Enterprises.
- Provide actionable recommendations to de-risk AI implementation and align with national cybersecurity strategies.
- Collaboration & Engagement:
- Work closely with other government agencies, industry partners, and interdisciplinary teams to drive coordinated AI security strategies.
- Represent the agency in national/international platforms, conferences, and collaborative research efforts to promote AI security thought leadership.
- Strategic Advisory:
- Deliver expert guidance to senior management on the cybersecurity implications of AI technologies and their impact on digital infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of evolving global AI security trends, frameworks, and regulations.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior cybersecurity role, preferably within a large or complex organisation
- Deep understanding of information security principles frameworks, AI/ML technologies, including neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning
- Proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive security solutions and programmes
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to identify and mitigate security risks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, would be highly advantageous
