About the Role A leading private banking and wealth management institution is seeking a Relationship Manager to join its growing Private Banking team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with high-net-worth clients, providing tailored wealth management solutions, and supporting the continued growth of the private banking business across Asia.
This role is ideal for a client-focused banking professional with strong relationship management experience, sound knowledge of investment and lending products, and a strong understanding of compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with high-net-worth and affluent clients. Understand clients’ financial objectives, investment needs, risk appetite, and wealth planning goals.
Provide professional and timely support across private banking products and services. Maintain regular client engagement to identify business opportunities and enhance client satisfaction. Business Development Grow the private banking client portfolio through new client acquisition and existing client development.
Identify opportunities to increase assets under management and deepen client relationships. Promote suitable wealth management solutions in line with clients’ needs and the institution’s risk framework. Support the overall growth strategy of the private banking business in Singapore and across Asia.
Wealth Management Solutions Provide clients with access to a wide range of private banking products, including investment products, deposits, loans, structured products, funds, bonds, and other wealth management solutions. Work closely with investment advisors, product specialists, credit teams, operations, and compliance to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Stay informed on market trends, investment opportunities, and regulatory developments. Client Onboarding, KYC, and Compliance Oversee client onboarding, account opening, KYC documentation, and ongoing client due diligence. Ensure all client activities, transactions, and documentation comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain strong risk awareness and uphold high standards of confidentiality, prudence, and professional conduct. Work closely with internal control functions to ensure smooth and compliant client servicing. Team Collaboration Collaborate with Assistant Relationship Managers, product teams, compliance, operations, and senior stakeholders.
Support a professional, service-oriented, and collaborative working culture. Contribute to team goals and the continued development of the private banking platform. Requirements Prior experience in private banking, wealth management, or relationship management .
Strong understanding of investment products, loans, account opening processes, and private banking services. Singapore CACS certification is required or strongly preferred. Good knowledge of KYC, AML, compliance, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in both Chinese and English to support communication with a diverse client base. Excellent attention to detail, prudence, responsibility, and risk awareness. Client-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Strong team spirit and service-oriented attitude. Preferred Profile Experience working with high-net-worth or affluent clients. Existing client network within the private banking or wealth management segment. Familiarity with Asia’s wealth management market.
