Laboratory Technician (Oral Care), Singapore
As a Laboratory Technician supporting the Oral Care category, you will play a key role in assisting Flavorists in the development and creation of inspiring flavor solutions for Oral Care Applications. By compounding and delivering outstanding flavors to clients, you will help drive business growth within the region.
Your responsibilities will include the precise compounding of flavour oils, the preparation of product prototypes by incorporating these oils into various base formulations and thorough documentation of all activities. You will also conduct a range of laboratory tests including flashpoint analysis.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and relevant safety and quality guidelines is essential in this role.
The Position:
- To assist Flavorist and Laboratory Supervisor by accurately compounding Flavour Oil samples according to the required quantities and lead-time
- To ensure raw materials are well replenished in the laboratory.
- Assist Application Laboratory by manufacture of trail samples and Prototype Submission samples.
- Conduct regular documentation on compounding outputs and inventories and label Globally Harmonized System (GHS) accordingly for all raw materials and Flavors.
- Prepare samples for Quality Control on new references and for trials to ensure they meet the requirements according to the national standards.
- To perform tests on flashpoint for newly registered products and update the library collection accordingly.
- Carry out daily work activities in the laboratory and ensure safety guidelines and measures are in place and adhered to.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Perfumery and Cosmetic Science, Food Science, Chemistry or relevant field.
- At least 1 year of working experience in laboratory. Experience in compounding is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to follow technical instructions precisely
- Team player with collaborative mindset and a proactive attitude towards continuous learning
- Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Maintain clean and organized lab environment
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
