Production Manager (Precision Engineering / Manufacturing)

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Production Manager to lead a dynamic and efficient machine shop team, including overseeing tool management operations. This role reports to the manufacturing manager and is a critical role that involves ensuring that all production processes meet established standards for safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the machine shop team, ensure a safe and high-performing work environment.
• Ensure various production KPIs such as quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and productivity are consistently achieved.
• Oversee the management of key resources including manpower, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and software programs to optimize machine shop operations.
• Evaluate complex engineering drawings for manufacturability.
• Propose and implement new tooling and fixtures to improve efficiency.
• Support estimation team to establish most efficient machining method.
• Investigate and reduce variances between planned and actual performance.
• Support subcontract team to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Develop new product manufacturing methods and support First Article (FA) production processes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies and streamline production workflows.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have strong management skills with a technical background.
• A minimum of a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in managing CNC machine shop operations.
• Knowledge of CNC programming software is a plus.
• Exposure to machine shop environment in Oil & Gas industry is preferred.
• In-depth technical knowledge and mechanical expertise.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; a team player with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
