Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks
• Providing on-site safety training and toolbox talks to workers
• Maintaining detailed records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken
• Assisting in the development and implementation of safe work procedures and policies
• Collaborating with project managers to ensure safety compliance on all construction projects
• Supporting the investigation of incidents and accidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
• Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging employee engagement in safety initiatives
• Liaise with authorities and customers on work programmes, service activities, and safety matters, including drafting of service orders and quotations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations, including the Workplace Safety and Health Act
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with workers at all levels
• Ability to think critically, identify risks, and implement appropriate control measures
• Proficient in using safety management software and data analysis tools
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
