Technical Support Engineer (Contract)

Job Responsibilities

• Review and interpret bid documents to support the Sales team during the RFQ process.
• Prepare technical BOM quotations and ensure accuracy in all technical submissions.
• Work closely with Procurement to ensure all sourced components meet technical and project requirements.

• Assist in the design and development of Junction Boxes, Power Distribution Boards, Control Panels, and other Bartec products for Hazardous Areas (Ex Zones).
• Prepare GA drawings, SLDs, schematic diagrams, and other required technical documents.
• Ensure BOM completeness and accuracy on GA drawings and in the ERP system.
• Ensure all designs comply with Bartec standards and applicable engineering codes.

• Conduct supervision of works, quality checks, and maintain quality records in accordance with ISO standards.
• Support and attend client inspections, testing, and FAT when required.
• Work closely with the Document Controller to prepare, compile, and submit full sets of project documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and cross-disciplinary project members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Visit project sites for inspections or technical clarification when necessary.

• Prepare technical offers, including clarifications, deviations, and important notes.
• Attend to clients’ technical queries during project execution and provide clear, timely responses.
• Ensure the company’s interests are protected while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents only (due to project requirements).
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial Plants, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Safety, Hazardous Area Classification, and Ex protection methods (Explosion-Proof, Flame-Proof, IP Protection classes).
• Good knowledge of electrical instruments, protection systems, and panel design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP or other engineering-related software.
• Able to work independently, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple project deliverables.
• Available to start immediately or on short notice preferred.
