Project Engineer / Junior Project Engineer (HVAC for Building Services)
About the Company
Our client is a growing engineering solutions provider specializing in mechanical building services and environmental control systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across Singapore.
Operating within a close-knit and hands-on environment, the company provides engineers with broad exposure to project execution, client coordination, testing & commissioning, and site management activities. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy taking ownership of projects and working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Working Arrangement: 5.5-day work weekProject Locations: Various project sites across Singapore (islandwide deployment based on project assignments)
Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage project activities from project award through completion and handover.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation including shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, operation manuals, and related project documents.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to project schedules, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Attend site meetings and assist in resolving technical, operational, and coordination issues.
- Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and project acceptance activities.
- Maintain proper project records and site documentation.
- Prepare regular project updates and progress reports for management review.
- Conduct end-user training and support project handover activities upon completion.
- Assist with additional engineering and project-related duties as assigned.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in construction, building services, or project engineering environments.
- Exposure to ACMV, ventilation, refrigeration, or mechanical systems will be an advantage.
- Able to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment with exposure to multiple project responsibilities.
- Willing to travel to project sites across Singapore as required.
