Job Title: Commercial Manager
Overview: The Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy and overseeing all operational activities of the retail business. This role is pivotal in ensuring the business meets its financial targets while maintaining high productivity across the workforce.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in retail management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing large teams and multi-site operations.
This role is in charge to lead the whole Commercial strategy and execution within the Company, including Retail, Ecommerce, Real Estate and any new selling channel that may be launched in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies to drive business growth.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and understand evolving customer needs.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage the operational activities to ensure seamless functioning and productivity.
- Handle the Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a large retail team
- Foster a productive and positive work environment, ensuring that all team members are engaged and motivated.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure cohesive and aligned strategies.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and evaluate performance using key metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Adapt strategies based on performance data and market changes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Travel Requirements:
- Travel as necessary to support and manage operations across different locations (Locally).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership and Organizational Skills:
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multi-site operations.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess market data and financial reports.
- Retail Knowledge:
- Extensive experience and knowledge in retail operations and management in Singapore
- Knowledge/experience in Ecommerce, Wholesale, Franchising or I&D a strong plus
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to develop long-term plans and adapt strategies to market changes.
- Financial Acumen:
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and handling P&L accounts.
