Network Engineer (Cisco/Infrastructure Operations)

• Salary: Up to S$6,900 Basic + S$200 Monthly Standby Allowance + Completion Bonus
• 24x7 Standby Support Required

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a critical infrastructure environment supporting enterprise network operations. This 1 Year Project Renewable role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, network operations, and leading technical teams while ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical systems.

Jobscope:

• Assist in network related hardware/software/firmware incidents
• Maintain all the relevant network records and update all the documentations timely
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedure, together with the customer to ensure the processes are in line and up to date as necessary.
• Perform daily system checks and monitoring and to highlight if any abnormalities are found
• Ensure that network related equipment backups are running
• Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level. - Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
• Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability.
• Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
• Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
• Able to lead a team of network engineers (size).
• Attain key certifications for partnership with key vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

✔ Ability to work in a 24x7 standby environment

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with the following technologies will be an advantage:

• Alcatel OmniSwitch Series
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• F5 Load Balancers
• Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager

What we are looking for:

1. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
2. 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
3. Strong documentation and operational discipline
4. Experience working in mission-critical or high availability environments
5. Locals to apply only as government security clearance is required in this project
6. Willing to commit to 1 Year Project renewable assignment.
