Position Summary
The Clinical Research Fellow will play a critical role at the intersection of clinical pathology and cutting-edge research, focusing on haematolymphoid malignancies. This unique position offers the opportunity to engage in advanced histological analysis of patient samples, manage and analyse complex tissue-based data, and contribute to innovative research projects.Successful candidate will have the chance to learn and apply the latest technologies in tissue-based research platforms, such as spatial transcriptomics, multiple immunofluorescence (MIF), and digital spatial technology (DSP). This role is ideal for individuals passionate about integrating clinical insights with research to drive forward our understanding of disease mechanisms and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Histological Analysis- Perform detailed histological examination of patient samples.
- Identify and select samples that meet the inclusion criteria for various research projects in haematolymphoid malignancies.
- Oversee the preparation of FFPE tissue for pathological tests including immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical staining for research purpose and construction of tissue microarrays.
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians to analyse tissue-based research data, including multiple immunofluorescence (MIF), spatial transcriptomic profiling, digital spatial technology (DSP), bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing.
- Manage and integrate clinical data with omics profiling data for comprehensive analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
- Participate in the design and execution of research studies involving patient tissue samples including obtaining the necessary approvals.
- Assist PI to oversee interns, undergraduate and PhD students in the analysis of MIF, spatial transcriptomics, DSP, and RNA sequencing data.
- Medically qualified doctors with postgraduate training/certification in anatomic pathology
- Extensive experience in histological analysis especially in haematolymphoid malignancies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
