Quantity Surveyor (Contract Management, Construction)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Executive) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical and process systems and will play a critical role in Contract Management and Cost Control.

1. Customer Contract Management

• Review customer’s contract terms and conditions and identify the contractual risks
• Monitor project progress, variations, and commercial performance to ensure alignment with contractual entitlements
• Support in contractual disputes related to variations, time-related claims, payment claims, etc.
• Support in project close outs

1. Subcontract Management

• Work with Project Team and outlined the scope of works
• Prepare tender/RFQ document and arrange tender briefing for invitation to tender
• Conduct tender interviews, clarifications and negotiation of pricing and contractual terms
• Prepare recommendation for award
• Issue subcontract agreement
• Assessing and managing contract claims including variations, time-related claims, payment claims and invoices
• Assist in dispute resolution with contractors and provide responses where required
• Project close outs with subcontractor.

1. Project Cost Monitoring and Control

• Monitor overall project budget
• Prepare monthly cost provisions

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in EPC projects (semiconductor / cleanroom / MEP preferred)
• Basic knowledge of contract forms (e.g. SIA, REDAS, PSSCOC, FIDIC, etc.)

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge in contract review and dispute resolutions
• Knowledge in preparation of SOW and BoQ/BOM
• Proficient in Excel
• Familiar and knowledge in prepare project schedule using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.

Soft Skills:

• Critical thinking to spot issues and provide resolution recommendations
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Attentive to detail to ensure every aspect is considered for better results
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fas-paced environment
• Time management skills to be avle to meet deadlines under pressure
• Strong communications and teamwork capabilities with all internal stakeholders
