Join our dynamic team as a Senior Executive Underwriter, where you will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in insurance processing and documentation, while supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly closing processes and govern premium booking, ensuring accuracy of insurance slips before processing.
- Summarize and verify risks and provide clear instructions to the Processing Administration team for policy issuance.
- Validate system bookings to align with processing instructions and underwriting intent.
- Track premium booking progress and maintain real-time updates to support month-end closing.
- Consolidate underwriting information from intermediaries and structure data for underwriting evaluations.
- Prepare pricing model outputs to assess adequacy and present findings to underwriters.
- Draft slips and supporting documents under the direction of underwriters and coordinate queries with Korean speaking intermediaries.
- Facilitate renewal preparations, ensuring all necessary information is captured and documented while sending reminders to intermediaries.
- Extract and analyze premium and claims data, validating integrity before reporting.
- Produce regular management reports and presentation materials for portfolio reviews and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements regarding documentation and booking practices.
- Summarize claims notifications and coordinate with underwriters for necessary actions and performance tracking.
- Assist in premium collection follow-ups with intermediaries and support reconciliation of received premiums with corresponding policies.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
- Basic understanding of marine insurance is preferred
- Previous experience in insurance broking or related fields is preferred
- Korean language proficiency to liaise with Korean stakeholders and counterparts
