Engineer NOC Ops L1

FiberSense is looking for an engineer with a passion for new technology who is interested in working in an exciting internationally-focused tech start-up.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a desire to pursue excellence in the development of services and some understanding of optical fiber infrastructure and sensing technology. They will be focused on the daily operations of a key part of the company's service, working within the Network Operating Centre and with other staff to troubleshoot and provide services to clients at the highest levels of performance.

• Monitor live DAS systems providing clients with critical, real-time infrastructure intelligence
• Analyse and interpret acoustic signal data to identify, classify, and triage events of interest
• Triage and coordinate with field crews in response to detected events
• Communicate clearly with clients on operational matters and incident status
• Document incidents and contribute to NOC knowledge base and process improvement
• Collaborate with L2/L3 engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve detection performance

• Location: Singapore (Remote)
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour day shifts
• Work Authorisation: This position is currently open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents only

• Bachelor's degree or similar in Engineering or Science with emphasis on networking and/or information technology.
• Excellent level of English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience in monitoring systems with a demonstrable track record of interpreting data and making effective decisions.
• Some experience with optical fiber technology; outside plant infrastructure and/or telco-related construction work will be an advantage
