Project Manager - VMware Projects

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Managerwith a strong background in telecommunications and VMware technologies to lead and drive complex project engagements. This role requires excellent stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and delivery oversight across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for complex VMware infrastructure projects for Telecommunication operators.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, and customer stakeholders.
• Manage multiple vendors, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery of all components.
• Define project scope, timelines, resource plans, and budgets; track and report on progress and risks.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams (engineering, architecture, operations, procurement, etc.).
• Conduct regular status reviews, steering committee updates, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, and industry best practices.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and resolution of project issues.
• Oversee change management, documentation, and formal project closure processes.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in telecom and VMware projects.
• Proven track record of delivering large, multi-vendor, cross-functional technical projects.
• Strong understanding of VMware technologies (vSphere, VCF, vSAN, NSX, etc.) and Telco network architecture.
• Familiar with ITIL/Agile/Waterfall methodologies and enterprise PM tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP) and experience working with Telco/ISP clients is a strong advantage.
