About the Role

The Director, Singapore (Culinary) will oversee all culinary operations in Singapore, ensuring excellence in food quality, food safety, innovative menu development, and exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep passion for culinary arts, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team of culinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement a strategic culinary vision aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Stay current with culinary trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to continuously enhance the culinary offerings.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive the brand’s culinary direction and overall business strategy.
Menu Development and Quality Control
  • Oversee menu design and development, ensuring creativity, innovation, and seasonal variety.
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and taste across all outlets.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards and processes.
Team Management and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing culinary team
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback and professional development opportunities.
Operational Excellence
  • Optimize kitchen operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Develop and manage the culinary department’s budget, including food costs, labour, and other expenses.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory management, ensuring the use of high-quality ingredients and cost-effective practices.
Requirements
  • Experience in menu innovation and culinary operations management for chain restaurants and multi-brand concepts is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
