Job Summary:

The IT System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and securing the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and networks. This role ensures smooth daily IT operations, supports users across the organization, and implements reliable and secure IT solutions aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

System & Network Administration
  • Install,configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and operating systems
  • Manage on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS –if applicable)
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security
User & Access Management
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Provide IT support for staff (hardware, software, email, network issues)
  • Set up new hires’ IT equipment and decommission access for leavers
IT Security & Compliance
  • Implement IT security best practices (firewalls, antivirus, patching, backups)
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and data protection requirements
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
  • Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers when required
Data Accuracy & Reconciliation
  • Ensure consistency between POS sales, payment settlements, and accounting records
  • Monitor discrepancies between systems and perform root-cause analysis
  • Implement automated reconciliation where possible
API & Middleware Management
  • Work with APIs, middleware, or integration platforms to connect systems
  • Manage data mapping, transformation, and synchronization schedules
  • Coordinate with vendors for API access, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain IT documentation (network diagrams, system configurations, SOPs)
  • Track IT assets and licenses
  • Prepare basic reports on system health and incidents

Requirements:

Education & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system administration or IT support
  • Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Technical Skills
  • Windows OS & Server administration
  • Network fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Backup and recovery solutions
  • Hardware troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers)
  • Basic scripting (PowerShell preferred) – advantage
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and user support skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Cloud platform experience (Azure / AWS)
  • IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco)
  • Experience supporting multi-site offices or retail/F&B operations
