Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of energy companies, markets, and industry trends to identify investment and trading opportunities.
• Analyze financial statements, operational metrics, production data, and cost structures to evaluate company performance within the energy sector.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses for energy-related projects or commodities.
• Monitor commodity prices, supply-demand dynamics, geopolitical risks, and regulatory developments impacting energy markets.
• Collaborate with investment teams to create sector-specific investment strategies and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and present energy market reports, sector outlooks, and investment proposals to stakeholders.
• Track the performance of investments and adjust recommendations in response to market shifts.
• Stay informed on technological advancements, energy transition trends, and policy changes affecting the industry.
• Contribute to the enhancement of research methodologies and data analytics processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, energy studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience in research roles related to energy analysis or commodities within financial services or trading.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial and market data.
• Solid understanding of energy markets and commodities, including upstream and downstream dynamics.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and experience using market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Relevant certifications such as CFA or CAIA will be an advantage.
