Senior Machine Learning Engineer (MLOps)

An opportunity has arisen with an established organisation for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join an MLOps team responsible for building and deploying machine learning systems at scale. The team works closely with data scientists and engineers to bring complex machine learning projects into production within a secure mission critical environment.

The successful candidate will design and oversee MLOps platforms, lead the productionisation of machine learning models, and provide technical leadership to a team of engineers. This role suits a hands on technical leader who can translate cutting edge machine learning practice into reliable, supportable production systems and engaging confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and oversee the production of MLOps platforms tailored to the organisation
• Implement, monitor, and resolve issues related to machine learning models in operational settings
• Create and execute MLOps pipelines for the deployment of machine learning models into production
• Work with fellow engineers to facilitate seamless integration into enterprise software while remaining informed about the latest advancements in machine learning technologies and best practices
• Articulate ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Engage stakeholders to support the successful development and integration of machine learning systems and tools
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in planning, designing, documenting, prototyping, and constructing complex machine learning systems and tools
• Lead a team of ML Engineers, identify learning opportunities for team members, and empower them through task delegation
• Lead the scoping, specification, and accreditation processes for machine learning engineering initiatives
• Solicit and manage technical requirements on an ongoing basis
• Collaborate with technical leadership at Branch and Divisional levels to ensure alignment of the machine learning engineering program with architectural and technical strategies

• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and operating MLOps platforms in production environments
• Strong hands on experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models at scale
• Proven experience building and operating end to end MLOps pipelines for model deployment
• Sound knowledge of contemporary machine learning frameworks, tooling, and best practices
• Experience integrating machine learning systems into enterprise software environments
• Track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, including delegation and capability development
• Experience leading scoping, specification, and accreditation activities for machine learning initiatives
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior technical leadership on architectural and strategic alignment
