Trailer truck driver
Operating heavy vehicles (such as lorries, tipper trucks, and cement mixers) to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites
Core Duties & Responsibilities- Vehicle Operation: Drive Class 4 heavy vehicles safely according to traffic laws and company policies.
- Transportation: Deliver building materials (e.g., steel, earthworks) and safely transport construction workers to and from project sites or dormitories
- Loading & Unloading: Manually or mechanically load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured safely to prevent damage during transit.
- Documentation: Verify delivery items against invoices, purchase orders, and delivery orders. Update delivery apps, logbooks, and sign-offs accurately.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking tires, fluids, and brakes) and report any mechanical faults immediately. Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck.
- Route Planning: Navigate traffic and plan the most efficient routes to meet scheduled delivery timeframes.
- Valid License: A valid Class 4 driving license issued by the Singapore Traffic Police (or relevant local authority) with a clean driving record.
- Physical Fitness:Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor during loading/unloading tasks.
Valid Singapore Class 4 Driving License.
Clean driving record.
Familiarity with Singapore routes and construction site locations.
Physical fitness for heavy lifting and ability to work flexible shifts (including overtime or early morning/night shifts).
Often requires additional safety certifications like the Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC/BCSS) or Lorry Crane Operator certificates depending on the specific vehicleDrive company lorry to deliver construction materials, tools, and equipment
Transport NTS workers daily to and from dormitory and project sites
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness
Load and unload materials or heavy items when required
Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the vehicle
Follow site safety rules and safe driving practices
Report vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly
Maintain basic delivery and transport records
Follow traffic laws.
