QA Engineer/ Software Test Engineer

Our esteemed client in the IT industry is seeking a QA Engineer/ Software Test Engineer to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract
• Position: QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer
• Location: Novena
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
• Salary Package: Up to $7,900 + Medical Benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts (both manual and automated) to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate closely the internal team to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Develop and manage automated test suites for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing across multiple environments.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and high-quality software releases.
• Provide constructive feedback to developers and contribute to code reviews from a QA perspective.
• Ensure software complies with accessibility, usability, and regulatory standards (e.g., WCAG, government regulations).
• Participate in defining and improving QA processes, tools, and best practices.

Job Requirements:

• At least Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of related working experience as a QA Engineer or Test Engineer.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Hands-on experience testing APIs using tools like Postman, Newman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) and version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
