About the role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lorry Driver to join our team at SG5 PTE. LTD. This is a full-time position based in the East and West Region. As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various destinations, maintaining our fleet, and ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in excellent condition.This role is essential to our warehousing, storage and distribution operations, supporting the smooth flow of our supply chain and contributing directly to customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
Operating and manoeuvring large lorries safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout the Singapore Region- Loading and securing cargo according to safety regulations and company procedures
- Delivering goods to customers and distribution centres in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance
- Following all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies while operating the vehicle
- Communicating with dispatch and management regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
- Reporting any vehicle defects or mechanical problems immediately
- Assisting with unloading cargo when required
- Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior
- Valid Class 3 or Class 4 Driving Licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Lorry Driver or Heavy Vehicle Driver for a minimum of 1 years
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic rules
- Strong vehicle maintenance knowledge and the ability to perform basic checks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- Excellent communication skills and customer service etiquette
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy loads
- Reliability and punctuality
- Valid Certificates of Competency (CoC) or relevant vocational qualifications in driving are advantageous
