Lab Assistant (Conservation Science)

Our clients is one of the art industry leaders in Singapore, managing & facilitating the access of art pieces.

• Mon - Fri | 8:15am to 5:30pm
• Location: Jurong Port Road (Transport provided @ Lakeside MRT)
• 1-Year Renewable Contract
• Gross Up to $3000

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations
• Perform routine lab checks (temperature, humidity, cleanliness)
• Ensure equipment is working properly (no alarms/issues)
• Maintenance & Monitoring
• Carry out scheduled maintenance (e.g. SEM, Raman, eyewash, gas supply)
• Calibrate key instruments (e.g. Raman microscope, pH meter)
• Check and charge safety devices (e.g. gas detectors, dosimeters)
• Maintain overall lab cleanliness and readiness
• Ad-hoc & Annual Tasks
• Support safety procedures (risk assessments, waste disposal, gas checks)
• Handle equipment shutdowns and restarts
• Update SOPs and provide basic lab training/induction
• Assist with sample preparation, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Support lab tours when required

• Handle procurement of lab supplies, equipment, and services
• Monitor budget and ensure compliance with finance guidelines
• Maintain maintenance, calibration, and documentation records
• Support annual asset verification

• Minimally 'O' Level required
• Proficiency in computer skills / MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel)
• Strong organisational and teamwork skills, also able to work independently
• Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
• Basic knowledge of lab equipment and safety procedures is an advantage
