Project Engineer (electrical)

Our Client is looking for a Project Engineer

1. Manage and oversee assigned projects, ensuring works are carried out according to project schedule, specifications and approved plans.
2. Plan and coordinate project resources including labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery and minimising resource wastage.
3. Monitor site progress and subcontractor performance, assign and supervise subcontract works, and implement corrective actions where deviations occur.
4. Liaise with clients, consultants, clerks-of-work, statutory authorities and internal departments (e.g. Purchasing) on project progress, approvals, technical issues and material deliveries.
5. Ensure site execution complies with approved drawings, Architect/Engineer instructions, client or main contractor requirements and relevant regulations.
6. Handle project planning, documentation and administration, including preparation/control of shop drawings, material requisitions, quality plans and related reports.
7. Perform site inspections and quality control, including incoming material checks, work inspections, raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and implementing corrective measures while ensuring safety compliance.
8. Administer contract matters including variations, claims, disputes and final accounts, while monitoring site materials, stock control and resource utilisation.
9. Support project manpower management, including guidance/training of project staff and arranging overtime work where necessary.
10. Ensure proper completion and handover of projects to clients and perform any other duties assigned by management.
