Addcel is a forward-thinking engineering and construction firm specializing in high-tech facilities, including semiconductor plants and data centers. We are currently seeking dynamic Project Engineer Interns who are keen to explore a career in Build Environment.
The Role
As Project Engineer Intern, you will work directly with our Project and Site Management team to support daily construction operations. Your mission is ensuring that work are carried out efficiently and with good quality and safety and to identify inefficiencies and deploy smart solutions that drive productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update detailed project micro-schedules for 2-week and 1-month look-ahead periods to support proactive project planning
- Prepare, monitor, and update regular project control reports to track progress and inform decision-making
- Analyze approved layout and schematic drawings to prepare and revise Material Take Off (MTO) documents, ensuring alignment with client approvals
- Communicate updated MTO information to project teams to secure material availability and coordinate manpower resources effectively
- Participate actively in daily toolbox talks, lead PTT sessions, and coordination meetings to facilitate site communication and safety compliance
- Provide timely progress updates, plans, and challenge reports to Project Managers to support project oversight
- Support engineering detailing activities for site teams and subcontractors, managing their work progress to meet project requirements
- Monitor procurement status and submit monthly progress claims to maintain accurate financial tracking
- Record additional works and variation orders, collaborating with the proposal team to prepare variation claims for approval
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and support fast-paced construction environments
- Education: Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
