The Corporate Communications Office manages the full spectrum of the University’s communications to consistently portray the institution as a global university founded on science and technology, nurturing leaders and creating societal impact through interdisciplinary education and research.
The Office works in close collaboration with all entities and external parties on a wide and diverse range of activities, including media relations, marketing communication, internal communication, crisis communications, public relations, corporate and international branding, content marketing, digital communication, issues monitoring and management, crisis communication, research communication, marketing, editorial design and multimedia production, advancement communication and University Archives.
Reporting to the Chief Communication Officer, the Deputy Chief Communication Officer (DCCO) supports the Chief Communication Officer in developing and implementing comprehensive university-wide strategies and programmes that enhance the University’s positioning and reputation with its key target audiences and constituencies.
The responsibilities of this role are:
Strategic Communications Leadership and Execution- Take the lead in strategizing, developing and executing multi-channel campaigns that promote research impact, global partnerships, university developments, and academic innovation.
- Direct the development and execution of integrated communications plans that translate university vision into compelling narratives
- Drive data-driven approaches using analytics and stakeholder insights
- Develop comprehensive media relations strategies spanning local, international, and specialist media
- In particular, DCCO should strategise with the Head of Media Relations on the elevation of NTU’s brand awareness through the international and local media
- Serve as key media contact for high-profile research announcements and sensitive topics
- Develop and oversee the execution of internal communications strategies for university-level initiatives to engage faculty, staff, and students and align them with the university’s mission and values.
- Build relationships with academic leaders, researchers, students, alumni, and external partners to ensure their voices are reflected in communications.
- Develop proactive and reactive communication strategies for crisis situations
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication implications of critical decisions
- Oversee and work with the Head of Digital Communication on managing university’s key social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Linkedin, Youtube, setting high editorial standards for the content.
