Junior Execution Trader - Hybrid: Remote and In Office - Toa Payoh

4. ) Hours - 2:30 pm to 12am, as this role supports European and US markets

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Execution Trader to join our growing investment team. In this role, you will be supporting a systematic quant hedge fund to:

• Execute Trades: Partner with the Fund’s Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer to place and manage orders across equity derivatives markets. Ensure best execution, monitor order flow, and uphold rigorous compliance standards.
• Support Business Operations: Assist in preparing pitchbooks, factsheets, performance summaries, and investor presentations. Maintain CRM systems, schedule investor calls, and manage ad hoc research and internal analysis projects.
• Drive Innovation: Identify process efficiencies, contribute to analytics tool development, and implement technology-driven solutions that enhance both trading and operational workflows.

• Trade Execution:Execute systematic equity derivatives strategies with precision, speed, and adherence to compliance protocols across European and US trading hours.

• Business Support:

Work closely with the Fund’s co-founders to:

• Prepare and update investor materials (pitchbooks, factsheets, performance reports).
• Maintain CRM data integrity and respond promptly to investor inquiries.
• Support internal projects, including data analysis, strategy sessions, and fund reporting.
• Help manage day-to-day business operations and communications.
• Process Improvement & InnovationProactively propose and implement enhancements to trading and operational processes.

Scale efficiency initiatives in line with fund growth.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in an institutional trading role within capital markets.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a top-tier university.
• Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA experience preferred).

Ability to calculate financial statistics and a solid foundation in statistical methods.

• Core Competencies:Strong understanding of equity derivatives and market microstructure.

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Flexibility:Ability to work flexible hours, including trading until 1–2 AM when required.

Comfortable working remotely the majority of the time.
