Bedok - Assistant Engineer [ Japanese Speaking | Up to 5K+VB]

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to field service teams
• Support Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT)
• Maintain accurate service tool inventory
• Complete and submit service documentation on time (e.g., timesheets, reports, logs, expenses)
• Organize and store engineering documents (drawings, version history, scope, RFIs)

Requirements:

• Diploma or ITE Certificate in Instrumentation, CPT, Electronics, or Mechatronic Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in instrumentation
• Proficiency in Japanese is required to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking suppliers and clients
• Experience in handling high vacuum equipment, pumps, chillers, and compressors
• Experience working with PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) or other coating machines
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Capable of leading a small team of junior Assistant Engineers.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and sputtering / etching tools is preferred
• Candidates with less than 3 years of experience in field service engineering will be considered for the Assistant Engineer role
• Candidates with more than 5 years of field service experience in industries such as semiconductors, shipbuilding, aerospace, or high vacuum systems, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position, will be considered for the Assistant Manager / Manager role
