Technical Superintendent – Oil & Chemical Tankers - Pasir Ris

Contract Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Technical Superintendent to take full and dedicated responsibility for several vessels within our modern, high-spec fleet of oil, chemical, and asphalt tankers, most of which are methanol dual-fuel and built to the latest environmental and safety standards.

You will oversee the technical management, maintenance, and performance of your assigned vessels, ensuring full compliance with Flag State, Class, Company policies, and Oil Major requirements, while managing technical budgets and working closely with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the maintenance of assigned vessels
• Prepare, monitor, and control technical budgets; implement corrective actions when necessary
• Ensure full regulatory compliance (Flag State, Class, ISM, Oil Major standards)
• Oversee PMS, repairs, drydockings, technical inspections, and audits
• Supervise procurement of spare parts and services; monitor and control technical expenses
• Provide timely and effective support to vessel requests; respond proactively to their operational needs
• Conduct regular onboard visits (at least twice per year per vessel)
• Monitor vessel performance (consumption, breakdowns, downtime) and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure SIRE/TMSA readiness and actively promote a safety-first culture
• Contribute to regulatory watch and stay abreast of industry trends and evolving technical standards
• Act as the main technical point of contact, coordinating with operations, QHSE, purchasing, marine, commercial, and other internal teams

Your Profile:

• COC Class 1 or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
• Proven experience with oil and chemical tankers, either onboard or ashore
• Strong command of PMS, ISM, OCIMF, and Class/Flag compliance requirements
• Self-motivated, organised, and available for frequent international travel
• Demonstrates a proactive mindset and willingness to continuously adapt to the evolving oil & chemical industry, including environmental and performance-driven expectations shaping the future of maritime operations
