Sales & Customer Service Assistant Manager

Join our dynamic air cargo team as a proactive and detail-oriented Sales & Customer Service Assistant Manager. In this vital role, you’ll manage booking reservations, respond to cargo inquiries, and ensure seamless execution commercially for our airline partners.
You'll be at the forefront of customer interactions and make commercial decisions - building strong relationships with freight forwarders and internal stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and execute sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue from cargo services for assigned airline accounts.
- Client Engagement: Engage in cold calls and visit key accounts and potential/ new customers to build relationships and achieve company's sales objectives.
- Quotation Management: Prepare and follow up on cargo rate quotes to secure new and repeat business.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement seasonal pricing structures in response to market demand and competitive conditions.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily uplift reports and weekly sales forecasts to headquarters.
- Capacity Monitoring: Track and manage free sale space availability on a daily basis to optimize cargo bookings.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with airline principals, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to support sustainable commercial operations.
- Customer Support: Perform shipment bookings on airline system(s) and address freight forwarder inquiries, complaints, and service recovery promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Flight optimization: Flight planning and coordination to ensure capacity optimization
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with customer service, operations teams, and ground handling agents to ensure smooth cargo operations and client satisfaction.
- Problem Resolution: Collaborate with the Operations Manager and service partners to quickly resolve operational issues that may affect service quality.
- Marketing & Promotion: Propose and support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility and competitiveness.
- Additional Duties: Perform other relevant tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support team and company goals.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in air cargo commercial or GSA is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and airline system preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- A team player with a customer-first mindset, strong commercial sense and attention to detail.
