The Role & Key Accountabilities

This role reports to the Director. As a Chief Executive Officer, you are to :

  • Drive strategic initiatives to grow company’s profitability, improve operational effectiveness to full potential and to bring the business to its next level of growth.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs maintaining transparent communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify trends, assess the competitive landscape, and uncover opportunities for innovation and expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and winery suppliers to strengthen collaboration and ensure long-term value creation.
  • Contribute to financial planning processes, including budgeting and resource allocation, to ensure optimal use of resources in line with strategic goals.
  • Develop crisis management plans and strategies to address unforeseen challenges that may impact the business.
  • Oversee brand development efforts and ensure effective reputation management strategies to enhance the company’s standing in the market.
  • Ensure procurement team optimize company’s product offerings and improve on current inventory portfolio to drive sales across both the retail and on-trade channels.
Key Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance, Retail or Hospitality
  • Successful business track record in turning around a Retail/F&B business (B2C & B2B & omni-channel) with a passion in wine
  • In-depth knowledge of wine or wine certifications would be advantageous but secondary
  • High entrepreneurship driving business initiatives ahead of the market
  • Financially savvy with prior P&L accountability & competent in Cash Flow management
  • Analytical problem solver with strengths in meticulous project & lease management
  • Solid experience in supplier relationships, negotiations and achieving good trade terms
  • Operationally hands-on. A motivating & nurturing servant leader fostering high performing collaborative culture
  • Deep understanding of premium branding, marketing and value positioning
  • Market and digitally savvy and social media connected
  • Has high integrity and respects governance and compliance
