Sales & Event Operations Manager

THE ROLE:

The Sales & Operations Manager is responsible for driving the results of a sales and operations team through organizing, carrying out variety of activities to produce SEMICON Southeast Asia and other events. The manager will recommend and implement best practices to ensure timely execution of show operations in a cost-effective manner.

S/he can establish strategies based on analyses of budgets, staffing and understand customer needs and eager to make improvements. You are team-oriented and can lead team members to adapt to new processes and technologies. You have the people’s skills needed to create trusting relationships with all stakeholders who contribute and benefit from the exhibitions and events you manage.

This position reports to the President at SEMI SEA Office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Standardize all events and exposition logistical processes – work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, produce and manage the annual SEMICON Southeast Asia exhibition and other events. Evaluate, streamline, and standardize workflow to increase process consistency and effective use of resources. Partner with SEMI HQ to ensure global expo operations standards and best practices.
  • Manage overall show operations’ budgets- ensure show projects are completed within budget and meet the gross margin target.
  • Manage customer relations - Develop and execute strategies for increasing attendees (exhibitors and visitors) satisfaction based on analyses of client satisfaction surveys. Launch and manage Exhibitor Engagement Program. Manage VIP contacts.
  • Grow sales
  • Sale booth space and sponsorship.
Manage floor plans and special exhibit areas
  • closely coordinate exhibition plan with marketing functions to optimize exhibit and sponsorship sales.
Initiate new show features that give the events and the SEMI brand a refreshing, exciting and contemporary look and feel.
  • Long-term planning - Draft long-term planning for show operations and pricing

  • Collaborate with senior management and other marketing teammates to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships.
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to customers, partners and membership outreach and relationship management.
  • You have helped SEMI enhance its membership value by providing members the tools and conferences they need to capture more business and a reason to return next year.

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma, B.S./B.A. or equivalent working experience in appropriate discipline
  • Minimum five years proven experience working in an exhibition, conference, and/or event environment.
  • 3+ years of product marketing and/or MICE sales role experience
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing is a plus
  • Proficiency in computer and internet software skills such as MS Office, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities required.

You are very organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven in juggling multiple projects.
