Senior / Medical Laboratory Technologist

Overview

Join a dynamic laboratory team supporting clinical diagnostic services through accurate laboratory testing, specimen analysis, and quality assurance processes. This role plays a vital part in supporting patient diagnosis, treatment, and overall healthcare outcomes within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Perform laboratory tests and analysis on patient specimens in accordance with established SOPs and quality standards.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Conduct quality control checks, documentation, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection control protocols.
• Handle specimen processing, preparation, labelling, and verification according to operational guidelines.
• Support laboratory operations, including inventory management, administrative documentation, and audit preparation.
• Communicate and escalate critical or abnormal test results appropriately when required.
• Participate in process improvement, validation of new methodologies, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide support and guidance to junior staff, trainees, or new team members where necessary.

• Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.
• Prior clinical laboratory experience will be advantageous, though training may be provided for entry-level candidates.
• Good laboratory and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, quality control processes, and safety protocols.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
