Staff Engineer Facilities Engineering & Projects - Toa Payoh

You will have the opportunity to lead annual plant shutdowns, develop and implement solutions to technical challenges, and stay current with emerging power system technologies.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

Project Management and Collaboration:

• Participates in project planning and scheduling.
• Collaborates with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.
• Provides technical guidance and support to team members.
• Oversees project direction, planning sprints, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and managing implementation.
• Involved in procurement support services, and also to interface with government agencies, prime contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with program requirements
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Facilities Engineering:

• Designs, develops, and implements electrical systems and components.
• Lead the Annual Plant Shutdown and plan the Shutdown activities
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Creates schematics, diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Performs calculations and simulations to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging power system technologies and provide technical leadership on innovation and system improvements
• Troubleshoots electrical issues and identifies root causes along with operation team
• Develops and implements solutions to technical challenges.
• Conducts failure analysis and risk assessment.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of designs, specifications, and test results.
• Prepares reports and presentations to communicate technical findings.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering related to Facilities / Real estate management.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical / M&E systems
• Acts as SME for Electrical system
• Should possess a strong technical background with analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and safety protocols
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certified in FSM / WEMP / SCEM will be an added advantage but not essential
