Violet Oon Singapore is seeking a Assistant Operations Manager to support operational excellence across all our outlets. This role is fully operational and service-focused, working closely with Restaurant Managers to ensure smooth daily operations, high staff performance, and exceptional guest experiences.

You will be actively involved in outlet operations, wearing uniform, leading by example, and stepping in whenever operational needs arise. You will also assist the General Manager in ensuring company-wide service standards, rostering efficiency, and operational consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Restaurant Managers to oversee daily outlet operations.
• Be fully hands-on in daily outlet operations, working alongside the team like a Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth service and operational excellence.
• Lead the service culture by setting standards and modelling excellent guest service.
• Ensure consistent guest experience across all outlets, including VIP events and special occasions.
• Conduct spot checks to monitor SOP adherence, cleanliness, service flow, and stock levels.
• Assist in coordinating special events, group bookings, and promotions, ensuring smooth execution.
• Support operational initiatives, service enhancements, and process improvements as directed by the General Manager.

• Plan, optimise, and monitor weekly rosters, balancing operational needs, peak coverage, and labor efficiency.
• Count and confirm manning levels to ensure adequate staffing for each outlet and shift.
• Mentor, coach, and support Restaurant Managers and supervisory teams to maintain high morale and performance.
• Conduct briefings, shift handovers, and training sessions to reinforce operational and service standards.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies.

• Maintain visibility on the floor to interact with guests, handle service recovery, and resolve complaints professionally.
• Monitor reservations and ensure smooth flow across outlets, particularly during high-demand periods.
• Build and maintain relationships with regular guests and VIP client to enhance loyalty.

• Check stock levels and coordinate with the purchasing team for timely replenishment.
• Conduct regular SOP audits to ensure compliance with service, hygiene, and operational standards.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and in working order.
• Oversee daily operations reports, including sales, inventory, manpower, and attendance, and escalate key updates to management.

• Actively participate in operations, covering shifts as needed, and working alongside staff to maintain operational efficiency.
• Take part in special projects, process improvements, and cross-outlet initiatives as required by management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in F&B or hospitality operations, preferably across multiple outlets.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Hands-on, service-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced, operational environments.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to step in on the floor, lead by example, and maintain high service standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to lead teams on the floor with confidence and professionalism.
