IT Business Analyst & QA Tester

This role blends Business Analysis and QA, focusing on gathering requirements, proposing solutions, and ensuring system quality through testing. It supports end-to-end project delivery, including documentation, implementation, and issue resolution, while working closely with stakeholders and developers.

1. Business Consultant/Analyst

• Conduct business requirements gathering through customer interactions and discussions and prepare appropriate gap or delta analysis document.
• Advise and propose business solution that is aligned with market trends and international standards including sound alternative solutions that will allow the customer to respond to the business challenges faster.
• Prepare appropriate business specifications document with details of the data, flow of operations and processing required to produce desired business need of the customer as gathered.
• Review and identify the potential scope, risk and opportunities for improvement of the proposed business requirements and prepare appropriate document as needed.
• Involved in project implementation in various capacities such as configuration setup, user training, functional support and other relevant activities that will ensure smooth deployment of the feature or product to production.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations and business cases
• Support change management initiatives and process improvements
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and meetings
• Prepare User Guide and other documentations relevant to the product and project implementation as requested by the customer.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level of support across all supported applications, developing a resolution for customer issues based on product and industry knowledge.
• Provide adhoc business consultancies such as sales support and proof of concept and project management support.
• Work under direct supervision of senior team member to acquire functional knowledge, development methodology and the product to build specialized skills and expertise on the job.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments as required

1. QA Tester:

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases by identifying test scope and requirements from business specifications.
• Maintain functional test cases, test data and test scripts. Develop and keep them up to date as new features are introduced in the system.
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases. Report bugs and errors with accurate definition of severity and priority.
• Perform manual and/or automated testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT)
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Conduct test result analysis and provide clear status reports
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives (if Agile)
• Investigate causes of software non-conformance during development, implementation and maintenance. Isolate, replicate, and report bugs and verify fixes.
• Propose acceptable walk-around solutions to address an issue during implementation allowing to manage potential showstopper.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience as a QA Tester, Business Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar role
• Attention to detail and strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools
• Experience in digital transformation or system implementation projects
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Basic understanding of APIs and API testing tools
• Industry-specific experience (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology)
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Professional certification is a plus
• Willing to travel and accept overseas assignment (where require).
