We are looking for an Assistant Director, Sales to join our team!
You will be responsible for leading and overseeing proactive sales efforts, and implementing strategies to maximise revenue across transient and group segments. This leadership role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent stakeholder management, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor the Corporate Business Development team, setting clear goals and driving performance.
- Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to secure preferred hotel status with corporate accounts and optimize revenue.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively sourcing new business opportunities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hotel teams, GSOs, and the Business Conversation team to uncover and convert leads.
- Sales Activities: Represent Shangri-La at trade shows, sales blitzes, client entertainment events, and international/domestic business trips.
- Revenue Optimization: Use data-driven insights and tools like Amadeus Advanced (Delphi.fdc) to generate proposals and maximize RevPAR.
- Sales Administration: Contribute to budgeting, market audits, and sales planning while maintaining accurate client profiles and sales systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate sales, preferably in hospitality or related industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in sales technologies and CRM tools.
- Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of revenue optimization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
