Adecco is supporting a reputable and stable firm in their search for a technically proficient and experienced Finance Director.
- In this role, it focuses on strategic and operational finance functions across multiple entities, including oversight of budgets, grants, and financial reporting. It involves close collaboration with senior management to review policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide financial insights that support long-term planning.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to review financial policies, support strategic planning, and provide insights to drive organisational objectives.
- Oversee sustainability of multi-year budgets, ensuring timely utilisation tracking, variance analysis, and early identification of potential issues.
- Manage financial operations across multiple entities, including transaction processing systems and compliance with prompt payment standards.
- Develop and maintain systems for effective grants governance, including oversight of audits, submissions, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to key stakeholders, including management, boards, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and manage liquidity and fund balances, particularly during peak budgeting cycles, with proactive solutions for potential shortfalls.
- Drive continuous improvement by aligning financial processes, implementing operational best practices, and leveraging technology for efficiency.
- Maintain sound financial governance and compliance with regulatory, audit, and public sector accountability standards.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, optimising structure, improving job fit, and fostering professional growth.
- Engage stakeholders across internal divisions and external partners to support funding initiatives and ensure financial integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent are strongly preferred
- At least 12 years of relevant experience, with a strong track record in financial management, budgeting, and reporting, including 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Prior experience in public sector, statutory board, or government-linked organisation is essential
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and manage cross-functional collaborations
- Experience with grant management frameworks, budget utilisation tracking, and financial reporting to government
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess financial risks and provide actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated leadership in driving process improvements and implementing finance-related digital solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills, with a focus on developing talent and building high-performing teams
