Robotics Automation Engineer

Position Overview

The ideal candidate brings both solid mechanical design fundamentals and hands-on experience with automation components, robotic systems, and factory deployment. Experience in mechanical design for IoT or camera-based products is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

As a core member of our automation engineering team, you will:

• Design mechanical systems including fixtures, jigs, and structural components for factory automation applications using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo.
• Select and implement automation and motion components such as servo motors, linear actuators, drivers, ball screw stages, and gearboxes based on performance and automative optical/image quality system integration support needs.
• Program, deploy, and integrate industrial or collaborative robotic arms into automated workstations, including path planning and tool-end integration.
• Develop complete automation solutions in collaboration with electrical, control, and software teams, including system layout, I/O mapping, safety interlocks, and process validation and test flow optimization.
• Lead on-site mechanical system installation, alignment, tuning, and troubleshooting. This includes overseas or local factory travel as needed to support customer deployment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design with the electronics, sensors, and wireless communication modules.
• Create detailed technical documentation such as BOMs, assembly guides, validation reports, and maintenance instructions.
• Participate in product and system-level design reviews to ensure reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical automation system development or related product engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and mechanical drawing (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).

• Familiarity with industrial components such as sensors, pneumatic actuators, linear guides, and system frame structures.
• Comfortable working across teams involving hardware, electronics, and embedded systems to support product-level integration.

Willingness to travel for factory testing, on-site support, or customer deployment (short-term trips as required).

• Experience in automation or robotics deployment in a manufacturing or factory automation environment.
• Exposure to communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherCAT, TCP/IP, BLE, or serial communications.
• Familiarity with integrating IoT hardware or camera-based systems into mechanical designs.
• Basic programming experience (e.g., Python, C#, or PLC scripting for motion/robot control) is a plus.

Experience in product structure design for smart devices, including camera module housing, sensor mounting, or thermal/mechanical reliability design.
